Refugee Services Office Marks World Refugee Day with Activities

The Utah Department of Workforce Services Refugee Services Office will mark World Refugee Day with activities on Friday, June 17th from 6-11 pm. The event will take place at the Big Cottonwood Regional Park in Millcreek.

Annual World Refugee Day Festival

The 18th Annual World Refugee Day festival will be held on Friday, June 17th and Saturday, June 18th at the Big Cottonwood Regional Park in Millcreek. The festival will feature music, food, games, and activities for all ages.

Utah is home to nearly 70,000 refugees, with the most recent arrivals coming from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Congo, and Venezuela. The World Refugee Day festival is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity and resilience of Utah's refugee community.
